DECEMBER REMINDERS AND RECITAL

HAPPY DECEMBER!
This year is really flying by. We are busily preparing for our Annual Christmas Recital which will be held on December 17, 2018 at 7:00 PM at New Presbyterian Church in Wilton Manors. Students pieces should be completely memorized by their first lesson in December in order to be ready to perform publicly. We will be setting rehearsal times for ensembles at your lessons this week. Our recital is a wonderful time of music and fellowship. You are welcome to invite friends and family. Please bring a dish to share for the reception following the recital.
I will provide the punch, coffee and paper goods.
I have received a few phone calls regarding students who will be traveling during the time of the recital. We will miss you, but understand that sometimes things happen that we cannot control.
ATTIRE: Dressy recital or holiday attire is required. Students in t-shirts, jeans, flip flops, shorts, vans, sneakers, casual pants and polos, etc. will not be permitted to perform. (Although, you can choose to go home and change into more recital appropriate attire!) Girls and boys, absolutely no long nails. It is very distracting to hear the clattering of nails during a performance.
What to BRING: Please bring a dish to share for the reception which will follow the recital in the Fellowship Hall.- There will be NO LESSONS after the recital. Lessons will resume January 7, 2019.
- We will resume theory classes in January to prepare for our March 2, 2019 exams. More info to follow later in December!
