Good morning! I am sending this to make you aware of some important dates and to share some good news! Please mark your calendars if these dates apply to you.

Most importantly, there will be no lessons from Thursday, April 25 through Wednesday May 1.  This is Non Lesson week #2 of 3.

CONGRATULATIONS:

1. Congratulations to Michael and David for being selected, through audition, to perform in the National Chopin Foundation Young Local Artist Concert at the Broward Center for the Arts - Saturday, April 13.

2. Congratulations to Michael for winning the Chopin Prize and to Cody for receiving Honorable Mention at the Pompano Piano Competition on March 2! This is an extremely high level competition and I am very proud of all participants.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

1. Student Day Exams were this past weekend, April 13-14! I am very proud of all our participants. All of our students received high honors!

2. April Tuition (#8 0f 10) is now due. To avoid the late fee, please pay your tuition by the 10th of each month.

3.The Deadline for Summer Music Camp Scholarship is April 21.

4. The BCMTA Jazz Pop Rock concert is this coming Sunday, April 14.

5. Guild Auditions are set for our studio, Friday May 24 and Saturday morning, May 25.

6. Our Spring Recital will be held June 10 at New Presbyterian Church in Wilton Manors at 7:00 PM. More info will be coming soon

6. Re-registration for the 2024-25 school year will open June 1. New registration forms and information will be posted online by June 1.

PS: Yes, late spring is jam packed full of events! I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm in embracing them and supporting your fellow students in our studio. It is personally very meaningful to me.

Dear Parents and Students

I hope this finds you well. I look forward to seeing each of you as lessons resume this week!

Please see the reminders for the month of January:

1. Please put Musicthon on your calendars for January 19 at 7pm. Please see the Musicthon tab to the right under Special Events for more in depth information. Please make sure you bring your filled out sponsor form and donations raised to your lesson the week of Jan. 12-19. Please make all checks out to BCMTA.

2. Please make every effort to be well prepared for our Musicthon performances. Music must be memorized unless you are being accompanied by an adult or are in a band.

3. Tuition #5 of 10 is now due.

4. Our focus is now turning to preparing for our Student Day Performance exams, April 13-14, 2024 and Guild Auditions over Memorial Day Weekend. 

5.Please make sure your child is practicing 4-5 days per week and practicing their scales, chords/cadences/ arpeggios and other assigned skills, along with the pieces assigned.

December/January Information

Happy Christmas! Some remindersd for the month of December, as well as leading into 2024:

1. Student Day Exams are Saturday, December 9. If you need more information, please reach out to me. An email was sent to all registered participants the past two weeks.

2. Our Christmas Recital is Monday, December 11. Please see Recitals tab for more information

3. We will continue lessons through December 14

4. Please put Musicthon on your calendars for January 19 at 7pm. Please see the Musicthon tab to the right for more information

Welcome Back!!!

Welcome back to our studio! We have many exciting things planned for the next few months,

so make sure you write them in your calendars so you won't miss any important events!

Classes begin Tuesday, August 29. Please check your email for the studio Schedule and Swap List and the

Studio Calendar. 

Some reminders for September/October

1. Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month (September through June)

2. Theory classes will be announced soon, the schedule is located to the right. Please always RSVP. 

3. We will be having Performance Master Classes in lieu of regular private lessons the week of October 23. Boys will come from 5-6:30 pm on Thurday, the 26th and Girls will be from 5-6:30 pm on Friday, the 27th.

4. Our Christmas Recital date is December 11 at 7PM. It will be held at New Presbyterian Church in Wilton Manors. More info will be coming soon.

5. Congratulations to Michael Drew and David Espinosa for being selected to perform at the Broward County Music Teachers Association Open House on September 10, 2023.
